While in Birmingham England, I had a chance to have a pint with the one and only David Johns of "Cruising the Cut", the brilliant YouTube channel that has introduced thousands to the unique life of those who live and travel on longboats through England's many canals. Not only is his channel immensely entertaining, but he also does repair tips, interviews other canal enthusiasts and features both the scenic and historic aspects of this waterborne lifestyle. His uplifting calm manner and unique sense of humour are what makes his videos so special. Although we travel differently, it was reassuring that we both had a lot in common, including the occasional bad pun!
